In the third weekend of the month of February,we saw once again an interesting and exciting weekend of racing. More than 60 races were run with
27 different stable owners reaching the winner circle from the three cards.

Not so long ago Friday night was the least interesting of all the race days but it appears that times have defintely changed.
For the third consecutive Friday, more than twenty races were run with twenty three run this week.In past seasons seldom were
more than ten races were filled and the only real excitement was in the chatroom.

This weekend got off to a great start with an unbelieveable quality card in which was highlighted with another dominating performance from Frontier Lass
on the Belmont turf at 1 1/8 mile in a time of 148.88. Once again the Turf Down's quality mare gunned down the field to win easily. A horse of this class on
a Friday night? That's not all, we also saw the last race for Ryans Express's all time leading earner Christie's Colt. Although CC wound up last I am sure he will
continue his success in the breeding shed. in CC's last race we may have seen a changing of the guard in the turf ranks as Fog City Racing's Green River Utah
closed wide to beat a field in which the top three finisher were three year olds. All of which were a bit of a surprise as the likes of Christie's Colt, Mount Everest
and Night Plan Boy were in the field. The big winner on the night was Aardvark Stable with three winners in the starter and claiming ranks. Prozac was two for two
for the night and continues his good season after a brief absence. Star of the Desert had another good Friday night following up last weeks three winners with
two more and is now once again on the top ten leading stables in wins list. Congratulations Burky

Saturday nights card was a speedy night with four sprint stakes run with the two year olds going six furlongs and the older horses in four furlong dashes.
The colts division winner Bluered Vision paid immediate dividends to Barycki Racing for the recent claim by beating good runners Judge Bv and Shy Myth.
Barycki owner Mike apparently is gearing up his stable as he carded three wins and a second in tough fields. She Fly Deb,owned by Faraway Farms, showed
her sprint dominance in a small field of good fillies. In the older division, Racing Downs took both divisions with his tough three year olds Jack Silver and
freaky fast Hide and Seek. Jack Silver's time was just 0.02 seconds offf the track record and Hide and Seek has now won 12 of 17 lifetime starts. John at
Racing Downs reminds us each week that he is the stakes tough the season and these runners are already beating the older horses and should be forces
in the three year old championship races.

Although on sixteen races were run on Sunday, the depth and quality of the fields demonstrates how stiff the competition is among stables this season.
The highlight race on the card was the easy win posted by Carmona Farm's Oscar The Planner over a field of seven stakes placed runners in a time of
for the 1 1/8 mile that was a 99 speed rating. Oscar, now a winner of five of ten races lifetime has to be considered the top two year old middle distance
colt as he seems to just be getting more dominate. Falcon Oaks had a great day with four winners two in the allowance division and two in 30k claimers.
LuciO had a three bagger and five total wins on the weekend and is definitely a stable on the rise. We also saw the return of Woodville Stable to the
winner circle with two wins and with his horses fresh should be tough to beat in the upcoming weeks.

With the ladies, LuciO and Fog City Racing, having a total of nine winners this weekend they are co winners of the stable of the week. It's been a long
time due for the women to show us how tough their stables can really be.Top Stable, Grand Prix Stables, and The Box's Studs are keeping up the strong
showings. Cameo Stable, Midwest Racing and Tc Farm all also are improving and finding the weekend winners circle. Continued success all.

February came to a close this weekend and we say good bye to Belmont and the wide sweeping turns and long stretch for the month of March.
There were 60 races run during the weekend with 22 different stable owners vsiting the Winner's Circle.
February was a great month with participation of over60 stables during the month, good size fields on most all race days and active banter in the chatroom.
It would seem we are set up well for an exciting March as the two stakes horses seem to be sorting out and the 3yo Classics start the later part of March.

So Don't Get Left Behind .

Getting Lucky Lodge got off to a great start on the weekend as the Dynamic Duo sent four winners to the post and had six wins for the weekend.
Ryan Express was close behind with three wins and overall there were ten different stables posting wins on the card. The feature race of the night saw
hot trainer Luci O 's Aunt Jemima running down Racing Downs' Foxy Momma in the lane in a quick time of 108:96 for the six furlongs.

As has been the trend, Saturday night had 147 horses compete in the 22 races on the card. Super Star routes were the feature of the evening as
the two year olds went 1 1/8 and the older horses competed in the flat mile. The two year colt division saw the reemergence of Carmona Farm's
Eliminator winner Extra Fast wire the field in a quick time of 149:05. It appears that leading rider Talamo received a different instruction and cleared
the field from the four post as Extras Fast coasted home. Faraway Farms three winners on the night had to be highlighted by She Fly Deb's commanding
victory over a strong field as she took the lead from the start and won going away. Getting Lucky Lodge was all smiles as recent high dollar auction purchase
Traffic Cop posted his first stakes win for his new stable. Traffic Cop closed strongly with World Traveller to catch Jack Silver in the lane and we had
a 11/10/12 trifecta in our first night of the handicapping event concieved by the folks at GLL.The outside posts in a full field again showed their dominance.
Dave of Amadave Farms almost fell faint as his surprising three year old filly Lady Wa Wa closed up the rail and defeated the likes of Frontier Lass and Flashy Lady.
Lady Wa Wa with this win could be a contender in the classic as she defeated the quick Hide and Seek who ran last. Donovan Stables Val's Gone Wild was
the only top filly not in the field and we all anticipate these fillies squaring off soon.

Not going unnoticed on the evening was Second To None coming home with two winners in 30k claimers. However: the real highlight of the night was the
six winners Falcon Oaks had on the card and posted three seconds in 20 starters. It has been a while since anyone has had six winners on any card and
never recently on a Saturday night.Nice placing of his horses.

Bald Farm had a good Sunday as he posted three winners and his good two year old colt Judge B.v captured the Sunday feature in a match up with
Oscar The Planner in a 7 furlong sprint in 121:50 which may have been too short for the Carmona Farms' runnner's liking. Woodville Stable and Luci O
had two wins apiece on a card of 19 races which we had 12 different stables posting wins.

The stable of the week has to be Falcon Oaks with the six winners on the Saturday night card with runners up Getting Lucky Lodge and Racing Downs.
Cameo Stable had another weekend win and a third in two starts and appears to be an up and coming stable. We also saw strong participation from
Polaris Bloodstock as Shane sent 13 runners to the post and must be feeling better.

            Weeks mixed up

            Hey Al,
I think I signed up to recap next weekends races (March 12-14) and report on them the following week. I was out last night and only watched replays of my races, and I've got a wedding to go to tonight (Not Mine!) so I don't think I'd give a good recap of what went on. But those races next week I'll watch like a hawk and write 'em up! You and Kelly will be tough acts to follow; I enjoy reading this each week as well as GLL betting window that opens every Friday.

              Al:

I will give the recap a try this wekend (5-7), can't guarantee it will be up to the standards that you and Kelly have set but I have a little extra time this week so should be able to pull it all together for you.

Great Bill, run with it and do the recap in what ever form you choose. I greatly appreciate your volunteering and Craig for the following week.
I hope everyone understands I enjoy doing the recap and remember that the idea was to get others viewpoints and insights thru a weekly column with a bunch of different contributors so we get to know everyone better. So folks don"t be shy.

Template availble, stats for this week done

                    Hey gang-

I had some extra time so I made an Excel template to calculate the stats. I am doing this weekends to test out the template, so Bill I will send them to you and that will save you some time. For others I can either do the stats if you ask me to, or share the template so that you can do them. It saves quite a bit of effort.

                            Weekend Recap March 5-7

As the first racing week of March comes to a close competition here at Digital Downs has never been better. We had a total of 46 races this weekend with 40 different stables competing and 23 different stable owners having their picture taken in the winner's circle.

The weekend started fast for both Aquaman Stable (3 wins) and Circle High Stables (2 wins). Each stable came back with 2 wins each on Saturday and 1 win each on Sunday. Ryan Express also had multiple wins on Saturday as he swept 3 consecutive races (13-15).

Shy Myth and Sinnin N Grinnin returned to their winning ways on Friday Night as Shy Myth overcame a terrible trip running 6 wide almost the entire race to post a nice 57.98 over 5f. Sinnin N Grinnin had a gate to wire victory in an allowance race. Both horses appear to be on a collision course with the Triple Crown Series coming up later this month.

Saturday racing action was highlighted by the running of The Mystic Mile at Belmont. In the colt's division Judge B.v., installed as the even money favorite by the guys at GLL, didn't disappoint his backers as he came home in 1:35:18 with a 98SR. Mike Baryki's Blurered Vision, a 50K claim proved he belonged with the big boys as he had a hard-charging second place finish beaten by a head. In the fillies division Top Stable's Ready To Win came from way off the pace to win for the third time in four races. Nashville Pearl, a victim of a bad trip was second, beaten by a neck. These fillies look to be primed for the upcoming triple crown as well.

On a side note both Joe Palooka and Laura Manchester appear to be off to good breeding careers. Joe sired 2 first out winners this week and Laura Manchester is the mom of the above mentioned Ready To Win.

I would also like to acknowledge two new stable who competed in the maiden free race this week, Bmf Racing Stables and Pocket Aces Racing. Welcome to the game guys, hope you enjoy your time here.

The stable of the week honors this week is a dead heat in my opinion. Aquaman Stable and Circe High Stables both had fantastic win and ITM percentages.
