I have noticed lately that the newer stables are being caught out with the 4lbs weight allowance when running their respective horses as a claimer in these types of races. I have been caught out myself from time to time, nominating a heavier jockey than the adjusted race weight e.g. Using the current top jock Ortiz J. L (118lbs) when a filly has an adjusted weight of 114lbs.
Is there some way that at nomination time of a horse, the jockey selected, if heavier than race weight be highlighted somehow as say, backlit red? Currently, we have no indication on the nomination page, that the horse will be carrying less race weight than the nominated weight. Perhaps the weight on the nom page can show the actual adjusted race weight.
This isn't a critical change, just a 'nice to have' one that can save some after race listing work.
