    Good question, Rudy

The different training methods affect the meters on your horses in different ways.

When first starting, the simplest method is to use the 11f lead pony gallop solely. This is the quickest method of getting all your meters up into the 95+ range. However, once a meter reaches 95 or more, it cannot go any higher. You will have to race or work the horse to drop the meters down then bring them up again. With the other methods (slow, medium fast), they are good for fine-tuning to get the meters to the perfect condition of being all 100's.

A good idea, probably later in the game for you, use a hack (a low class horse that isn't performing well) and try the different training styles on it. Note down how the meters are affected by the different styles eg. you will notice that one will lift Stamina higher and the others lower numbers. Another style might lift Strength higher and lower figures on the others. One might lift all the meters in small increments. Adjusting the length of the style (eg 2f or 9f) can provide you with an alternate meter lifting sequence in your quest to attain perfect 100's across the board.

There is a section in the Newbie guide that covers this.

    Hope this helps

If you click on the ask the experts forum and do a search typing in: Secret To Training, you will find a post started by Vagabundo Stables with a reply from Norm of GLL entitled "Tweaking the Meters - The Thunder Way" where you will get an insight into how one of the most brilliant minds to play the game trains horses in different situations.

I refer to it often myself when my horse's meters come up whacky, hope it helps you.
