Everyone should have the ability to set their own avatars now. If you have trouble setting one mail me and I'll see what I can do to help.
To set an avatar.
First have the image saved to your computer or a URLwhere it can be found. I prefer to just save it to my computer for later use if needed.
Second click on your stable name in the top right corner to open the drop down menu and select "My Profile"
Third on your profile page simply mouse over the generic avatar and it should pop up giving you the option to "Edit Avatar"
Foruth select the first option to browse through your folders and upload an avatar from your computer or the second avatar to post the link to a URL. Then hit save. This should do it.
I dont think GIFs are working right now as it strips the animation but most jpegs should be allowed. You may have to resize a bit to get it to fit. Good thing is you can do that on here now and not have to do it on another program.
Again if you need help I'll see what i can do to get you set up.
