  • Consignment Sales

Okay, okay, I know I have been whining about the option of having "CONSIGNMENT SALES" but as the saying go's, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Seeing, that I think that I am always thinking, here's another updated suggestion as I had spoken about in another forum.

    For the Consignment Option(S), UNRESERVED.

    1. For all stables once a month.
    2. For a selected amount of stables once a week. (first come first serve, OR stables are randomly picked by the computer, going through ALL registered stables @ DD's.
    3. For stables that have been members for a specific length of time. (?)
    4. For DD's to decide as what would be the best possible scenario.
(and any other applications that may be required overall).

Programming would be designed by DD's in which both parties would benefit.

A drop down box could be programmed for each horse that is entered to the "Consignment Sale". The drop down box would give the option of "Return To Consigner" (if horse is not sold) OR "Permanently Remove". (or other features DD's may come up with).

Consignments could be allotted for ALL horses, OR for different types of groups of horses, decided by DD's. etc. Unraced/Maiden/Colts/Fillies, (Stallions,Mares, should the option become available to sell stallions/mares).

I am sure if DD's were to implement the "Consignment Sales" we would even see a larger turn around of horses or deleting of horses which should benefit both parties involved.

Commision fees would be applied as DD's feels is most feasible.

Seeing, that we have the "Auction Page" having "Consignment Sales" would create a different sense of excitement/enthusiasm here @ DD's.

As we all know, Carl is already busy implementing other features which are priority in relationship to ALL players requests for improvements here @ DD's.

Positive or Negative feed back is welcome !

Remember, "Voicing of opinions, generally creates changes for the better".

    Thank You.

    GL to ALL stables.

I like the idea-could be fun to have a yearling consignment sale shortly before the new season starts-take a chance on who will be the new 2 yr.old superstar of the coming season! Might boost yearling production, too, if there were a sale of this type you could plan on. Or a broodmare consignment sale, where you could list your broodmare prospects (even those retired). Give some young stables a chance to maybe pick up a few proven producers, and some older stables a chance to move some stock around.
What about a futurity? Where a stable could nominate their stallion, any foals by him would be eligible to run in the futurity-with nomination fees paid in during the season, a big stake race at the end of the season (or two--one sprint, one distance) for those who have stayed paid up all season long. Nominated stallions would have a bonus to breeders, and would be a plus in selling the foal as well.
