Hey guys last night before i went to bed i claimed 2 horses from todays 2000 claim race, but come to find out that the horses i claimed went to other owners. Last night also they took out the credit from my account and then today returned it to me how is this possible. The horse The Teacher and Guiniess Stout were the two horses i claimed last night. Is there like a horse limit for new stables? I was really excited to get those two horse as i studied their races and saw promise in them but now am very dissapointed to find out that i didn't get them.

Were there other claims on them, and you lost?

When claiming, it isn't first in, first served.

D/D has to be fair about it if others share your good judgement and want to claim the same horse. With multiple claims on a horse, it becomes a lottery. So after the race, D/D randomly picks a stable as the new owner of the claimed horse, with the unsuccessful claimants getting their money back.

If more than 1 stable claims the horse it goes to a random drawing to decide who gets it.

Confused...Walahhhh Unconfused hehe little magic trick

Thanks for the response guys. Glad that is settled. I am glad though that other stables like Jamie's considered the horses I considered also, means a lot that my claiming skills are getting better. By the way after you claim a horse I noticed that there was a little D sign next to their names anyone care to enlighten me of this sign. Alright guys Happy Racing!!!

            Congratulations. You have confused me!

            When does the 'D' appear:

            a. After you have placed a claim on a horse and it appears next to the horse's name on the racecard? or

            b. If you have won the claim and it appears after the horse's name when it arrives in your stable?

            c. None of the above?

I haven't noticed this, maybe others have?

This means the horse is DD Bred and eligible for seperate races only available to DD Breds.

ahhhh yes. Thanks Mike. Nothing to do with claiming, it is to do with breeding, which you haven't experienced yet, Stormy.

When breeding, you have the option to pay an extra (once only fee) of $2 and the horse is eligible for special DD bonus races throughout its racing career. The original breeder of the horse/s you claimed paid the extra $2.

                    Hurrican3,

I did pm you and Vicky about those two horses and Zeb Jed today. If I had known you had already placed a claim i would have passed on The Teacher. I probably win more than my fair share of shakes. Anyway, you seem to be selecting some decent horses for claim.

                    Good luck,
