  • Win $ in the Fog City Mystery Meat Challenge

Fog City is offering a “Mystery Meat” contest with newly retired breeders. Here’s how it works. These breeders are on the public page for $0 with varying numbers of breeds available. Pick a Fog City mare, stallion, or both off the list and breed a 2yo. Work the horse at 6f on Cal dirt with Gomez, colts 120 and fillies 118. Meds are allowed, and only the initial work counts. You may enter as many times as you wish until the breeds run out.
If the contest has fewer than 10 entries (foals) I will pay a breeders award of $15 to the stable that produces the fastest horse sired by one of my stallions, and another $15 to the fastest horse out of one of my mares. If there are more than 10 foals produced, I will raise the prize to $25 each. In the event that we have an overall winner where both sire and dam are Fog City, I will throw in a bonus breed to the mare and 3 bonus breeds to the sire. The winner or winners will be asked to verify the work was done at the proper weight.

    The available breeders are:
    Stallions:
    Lunch At David’s
    Marvin The Martian
    One ATM
    Speed Of Sight
    SS Fire Fly
    Timber Wolf

    Mares:
    Cali Daughter
    Cayenne Prepper
    Island Paper
    The Milky Way
    This Is My Credo
    Training Sensation
    Tree Of Love

Contest ends midnight EST 5/9. Post works here. Good luck!

                        what a deal

                        Results thus far:
                        1. CM Stable’s Killer Corey (Speed of Sight/Island Paper) 1:09.06
                        2. South Jersey Stable’s Ladip (Lunch at David’s/Island Paper) 1:09.27
                        3. Norm’s Speed of Sight colt 1:09.33
                        4. King G’s Training Sensation foal 1:09.39
                        5. Purse Snatcha’s Cayenne Prepper 1:09.46
                        6. Buddha’s unnamed and now dead foal out of Tree of Love 1:09.5?
                        7. Foggydan’s Sensible (One ATM/Training Sensation) 1:09.58
                        8. Aquaman’s Classy Kelly (Speed of Sight) 1:09.59

Only need 2 more to get over 10. Remember multiple entries are permitted. CM just got his down to sub-1:09, and may get paid $50 to have bred the horse!

I bred 2 so far, nothing to write home about.

The first one is DQ'd as it was a filly and ran it at 120lbs (force of habit).

                          Private Island

The second one at least was run at correct weight.
