The last thread turned into B.S.. and i leave it at that.... My intention was for us small group of players left on this site , to put some idea's forward to kick start the site!!! i know some of you guys from other sites, and i think this one has the most potential!!! but i believe it's going to take a lot of effort, from us, and specially management, the the latter is the most important!!! i feel there is no'one at the helm here.... i know Joe's around. but he has his own priorities( School) which is understandable!!!,,, So imo, the site needs a "on hands" manager or someone full time to run things,, like promo's, nfl, pick.em ,breeding contests, and deal with all our complaints!!! also help new stables get settled!!! In the last 10 days i saw new stables come on,,, how many are still here??? imo i think none,,,,We can't lose players because there is no management or incentives to stay !!! IMO,We also need a every day Race Card programmer,, the race card is congested with duplicate races... i think we need our smaller stables to grow, by setting forth caps and restrictions in races so racing here is for everyone regardless of how much money you invest!! Anyhow, this is some i my thinking,, LOL i am only a 52yrld Chef,i know some of you here are very intelligent and wiser... Let's here some fresh idea's and hopefully we can Kick- Start this site... ok I'll jump in on this thread.

I have read through recent posts and there are some great ideas put forward.

We all acknowledge that the first priority is to attract new players. I am not a marketing person, there are others on here that are better qualified than I. My suggestion would be to canvass past players to find out why they left the game, hopefully finding common problem areas that are feasible to fix and offer incentives to the ones that do reply.

I think it was Worsley that stated that he felt that the US style of racing doesn't suit online horse-racing games. I tend to agree with him but I wouldn't scrap the whole structure, just modify it in certain areas. Apologies to others if I am repeating their idea but the game would work much better if horses were running in their right class. The claiming structure that we currently have isn't doing this, because it is at the whim of each stable what they can get away with, without a horse being claimed.

I would like to see set weights only on Maiden, Allowance & Stakes races. The claiming races should be weight handicapped similar to the Starter Allowances we currently have except winner gets a penalty next start of 2lbs, 2nd - 1lb, 3rd - 0lbs and the remainder get a 1lb loss next start. This should create a class structure and I'd scrap the 2K/5K Claimers, leaving 10K/20K/30K/40K/50K Claimers, all with weight penalties. To bolster fields, most claimers should be mixed gender, fillies racing against colts/geldings but with a 3lb weight gain.

Incentives for new players to get them to race is a must. Just two free creates is not enough. I also like the idea of weight off for losses like the starter allow. races. With Joe being busy, someone from management does need to be on the forums daily with some type of answers, postings, contest, etc.

Just had this idea. I know a lot of the vets always say they'll give free breeds to new players. Maybe we could have a breeders page for new players the vets could put some horses on that page and the new players could get a coupon to waive the dd fee to breed one or two real runners. Whatever they breed there will be better than those free creates. Another advertising thought would be dd matching the first deposit lots of websites does this.

Very good idea. Most of the gaming sites (slots) do this and along with their loyalty bonus schemes, I assume keeping players longer.

Hello,
New player here. I played at digiturf years ago but did not enjoy it. I wanted to breed. Two weeks ago I ran across this site only because i was thinking of playing at digiturf again.

I think we should target fraternities, especially at u of kentucky in lexington. They have all been to Keeneland. They have money and time and love playing and gambling.

Hope this grows because it looks like fun.

Id like to see more auction's.. One of my favorite part's of DD is the breeding but I have way to many horse's to enter. So it would be nice too have more auction for stable's that enjoy the breeding or simply stable's to sell off some of there stock. Am finding myself not racing a lot of my horse because I have horse's entered in the race already and am not one to race myself P.s Give's new stable's and other stable's a chance too buy quality stock too compete or learn from as well (Other site's I've raced on had an auction every 2 weeks or so). Thx love the post's as well.. Hope management and developers are reading them.. A lot of great idea's that would make this BY far the best online racing site!! SS

But Smoke....the sales page is full of horses now I'm afraid a auction now would be a bloodbath for sellers and I love auctions.

I like the idea of revamping the claimers but really the 2c races fill every time. Trouble I See is a 10cl can and do have same entry$ as 2cl. That makes no sense. 2c races 500 max 5cl 1000 10 cl 1500 etc... then not as much sandbagging.

I think create races need a lot of help. Small added purses may be a incentive to enter? done like DD races are now.

It seems like a rudderless ship here at times. I'd like to see a invested or sponser that wants to take this place to a new level because the game is great fun.thanks

Well in most auction on other site's it cost you too place a horse in auction.. Thus stopping stable's from selling just any horse (Crap) and putting horse's they know will have a good chance of selling.. Making it better for again newer stable's too get quality stock and compete against some of the more dominion stable's!!! Plus DD would make a bit from each horse's entered Win win for us all... JMO

I like auctions. The issue on this site as far as trading horses is concerned is that IMO spending money on purchases hardly ever makes sense.

Too many similar class horses. Workout times rarely reflect a horses actual racing ability. Lack of race opportunities.

The breeding aspect of the game stagnates the trading aspect I think. If you have a few good breeders in your barn its nearly always worth breeding your own than spending 50k plus on someone else's horse.

If a quality race card could be put in place it would make the whole thing so much better. My stables got 4k credits at the moment and I'm trying to find reasons to deposit more but its becoming hard work.

There must be hundreds of horses on this site. I don't see why there are barely any entries. It's very very strange here at the moment.

i agree WRF,,, Horses here train alike very hard to figure if horse is worth the money to purchase in Auction,this creats a stop gap, for auction unless your buy an older established horse Question is are the players here to Race or just breed or Both,,, like you said too much horses not racing

I agree WRF there are really very few horses worth more than 100k at this site.you buy a horse for 200k lets say that horse with entry fees will have to win 350k or more and be a good breeder to make its money back.so i just dont see any reason to buy a horse when as you say the times are so close and that doesnt even mean it can run so you might as well breed your own.In addition, the race program doesnt help with the ROI either.

So my suggesting is a total remodel of the race programs yes programs they need to bring back the cal track or a diferent track but a full card of races like cal use to have. these horses need a chance of making good earnings this could help raise value of horses and then also jump start the auctions and sales pages.

hundreds of horses there must a thousand plus i have 60 or so in my barn i cant find races for on a consistant basis and i breed a lot less then most.

Id disagree ..Buying a great quality horse for good money that as top notch bloodlines and can not only win big race's but will produce amazing offspring is well worth buying. Even if you paid high end for it the breeding is worth it. for exp. Troll King, Produce ton's of great offspring for my stable and well worth high dollar.. Another one of his offspring Pharm king put out a stable full of amazing horse's and there's so many other great name horse's out there worth paying big money for.. That's how you get the bloodlines in your stable too carry on success.. Again JMO SS

I agree with that SS. I've spent money on many horses and many good breeds here in the past. Some horses are worth the money and some are sometimes worth taking a risk on.

The issue is still profitability. Its no good spending money on a horse if there nowhere to race it. The SSS series is the only way to take down consistent purses here and that's where ALL the best horses run. There nowhere else to make money. In the real world, you don't need a championship standard horses to make good prize money.

And this is where the race card comes in again. You need conditional races with added money. You need to be able to find a level for your horses that may not be champ quality.

One of the better qualities of this site is affordability and that shouldn't be compromised. BUT, entry fees and purses should increase in line with the grade. Too many low entry fee races going off with 3 or 4 runner. What's the point in bothering?

It needs reviewing asap.
