Okay folks I'm going to talk about something that I'm sure will probably ruffle some feathers but I've done it before and this probably won't be the last time.
First let me say to be completely clear that I'm not complaining about the added purses races. I think its great that Carl and company are nice enough to offer it back to the players, but I think it is being over done. Back when I first started playing it was really something special to have the added purse races. The Tracksider, the Mystic Mile, Dash for Cash and just a few others were all we had all season. It was something to really look forward to. Now it seems there's one or two races a week with 5-10k added. I look at the race history of horses and it's like I threw a periodic table into a blender just a bunch of letters and I'm constantly looking up the race to see what it was.
What I'm wondering is if that money could be used for something else to benefit the game. Paying for a D/D ad in the program at one of the popular real life tracks? Cutting subscription fees? (Money I might add would stay in the game anyway either in breeding or nomination fees) Just a couple of ideas though I'm sure there's many more options available for that money.
