I would say thats not too terrible. What weight did you use, what jockey and what instructions. Look to see if he was moving better late then early, or visa versa, it gives you an idea if your horse is a router or a sprinter. Some versatile horses can do both! If your horse is a router, then that time is not too bad. Once you take them to the vet, you will find out what medication he recommends, and that along with testing out add ons, you can dramatically improve a horse. A router who can go 6f in under 1:10 with no vet or adds, is a solid runner. Also depends on how much heart he has on the track. I would suggest reading the posts by GLL and Ryan in the help for new members section. Their advice is priceless, and they are damn good guys who will bend over backwards to help new players.
