Something I noticed, in the last auction...maybe I haven't got it quite right....but just what I think:
If you put a bid in on a horse, more than 24 hours before the sale starts, you will see your bid (if it is the highest) and you will know that you have the highest bid, on that horse. Your name will be there.
But (and here is where I am not too sure, but it is something new people need to know) once the 24 hour mark is passed, and you put a bid in, it will not show up, until the time is passed for the selling of that horse. So you might have the highest bid...or you might not.
And I THINK (but am not sure) if you put in an even higher one, to be sure, and it is needed, because someone else bid after your first bid, your 2nd bid will be taken. It won't be taken, if you still have the highest bid.
And I think that Carl ensures that if you overbid the highest one, it just takes $1000 of your money, even if you bid more than that.
But I don't know about this, so maybe someone can clarify that.
This is a start, anyway.
