Just a note to any of you who find yourself unemployed at the moment file for unemployment as quickly as you can because each of these states will be increasingly inundated with applications and it might slow the process down for everyone, I found out yesterday that I was being laid off and filed immediately, they have already approved my benefits so the states will fast track all claims, the sooner you file the sooner you will receive your benefits which means your income stream won't be so interrupted. I am assuming in the coming days there will be millions of requests for umeployment assistance which will put a severe strain on the system. I know when I was filing yesterday the system crashed several times before I was actually able to complete the process. Knowing I have been approved has taken a huge weight off of my shoulders.
