Mentor/Newbie Teams

With so many new trainers it might be a good idea to organize some kind of racing contest where a newbie joins up with a vet. These 2 person teams could race against other mentor/newbie teams in special races. Maybe admin could provide some create codes to the teams to use in the contest.

I remember this was fun and helpful when I first joined, except my mentor bailed and left me hanging (Socal), but I digress. It might also help in retention. Just a thought, I am sure you can come up with something.

Thats a great Idea, and I would love a mentor to help me out. But I cant stress enough how important and valuable it is to read everything you can in Forum and both help post. I think 95% of the answers we newbies are looking for are there we just got to do our home work and look for them. Its alot to read, but priceless in educating how to WIN a race. I also get great help just going to the chat room and listening to the guys talk. You can ask your questions there and get a quick response, I love it. I think we lose a ton of new members just because they race before knowing how to prepare. They lose a couple races then scream, this site is rigged, I cant win, its to hard, my horses suck, ect.... Blaming the horse instead of lack of knowledge. This place isn't for everyone, but I think we lose to many for the reasons above that would have stayed and love the game like most of us do. Sorry for the rant
