Season 35 Norm Award Winner

As I said last season I wanted to let most of the responsibility of picking a winner be passed along to active players. I have consulted with the previous winners of the prize along with Norm since his dedication to the site is what brought about the award in the first place.

After taking everyone's opinion into consideration there will be no winner this season.

I do want to recognize 3 stables that received nominations.

1. Taylorandtaryn (received two nominations)
2. Buddha Farms (received two nominations)
3 Northern Acre Farms (received one nomination).

Thanks you three for everything you brought to the game this season.

In the end there were 3 votes cast for no winner this season and being the majority I felt best to follow the majority.

So i dont have to go back and find and quote any thing from the original announcement a brief synopsis of what goes into winning the award is three fold. Participation, sportsmanship, and dedication to the site.

Thanks to everyone for making Digital Downs the best virtual horse racing game on the internet.

Boy leave it up to the players to ruin a perfectly nice gesture from norm. Norm thanks anyway for the thought. I wasn't aware of the vote but I would of voted for TNT just because of the raw domination that takes place on a daily basis from that stable.

Seriously I think Orb's contest early in the season was the most generous act this season. The mares he gave away have produced countless winners for me and others. As usual I was the most skeptical of it, however I owe him a great deal of credit for my success this season.

Thanks steve. May open it up for the community next season but left it up to the previous winners and norm since the award was named in his honor. Appreciate the kind words,but consistent dedication and sportsmanship always leaves me short of the glory of these tremendous folks who have won. We have a wonderful community and I am flattered by any mention of consideration, but next season, perhaps a clean slate will open this special award to all of us, and someone will undoubtedly shine thru as the clear winner.

I am one of probably 12 members this season who would have garnered votes....... That is a great sign of a tremendous community......All due respect, I would have voted for Lone.

Silly of me, as I bought nearly 300 animals from Triple M, and so I sold some off to get down to a reasonable stable number......and my wife being gone 30 days a month, and my kids gone 22 days a month, I DID get wishy-washy, and I own up to that.....Being here, spending money here, It was an internal struggle between what was "right", and what was a "necessary escape" from the harsh realities of a broken family..... So i did flip and flop, only it was perhaps more so justified this season. In the end, I decided that I have every right to enjoy my time responsibly (financially) here.
