  • The Meters

Did the meters get harder to control for anyone else. Or have I forgotten how to train as of late? Just wondering if anyone else was finding it a little more difficult as well.

I'm finding them more difficult too. But I don't think that is a bad thing. It shouldn't be too easy to get straight 100's.

I haven't noticed it on all of them, but have on about 1/2 that the meters have gotten harder to get to 100's.

            The 95's are back!

I was doing good for a while, but I've got a few cropping up lately. Probably, should check out what sort of horse this is happening to. Maybe certain horses need to remain in the game. Too few 4yr old fillys or something?

            I hate 95's!

Hey Dog, any chance your meter issues are with a colt? They seem to go funny some times for no apparent reason. Solution is to live with it or geld them. I've spent up to a month trying to get the meters right after a colt goes nuts, but if it's one that has promise in the breeding barn, you're almost out of options. I've had fillies go wonky sometimes as well, but not as often as the boys.

                  Seen no change either....

If you got a tough one that wont line up, send over a mile or further ( trial), that will level them out in the 60's or 70's and should come up ok after that
