IO was just wondering if any one besides me is having trouble training your horses. It is like i get almost ready to race and the next time i train them the meters goes all to pieces. I have been doing 1 3/8 LPG and some days it works and some days it does so i try any thing. Just let me now if any of you have any tips. thanks

1 3/8 lpg on dirt ....new horses fitness will drop after a few str8 days of this either a days rest or continued training will eventually raise it. I'm not sure about the turf that you mentioned as I never training exclusively on turf. Maybe its affects things a little different. I'm not sure why you are getting such fluctuations on anything besides the fitness...i'll talk to you in the chat room aobu it

Fitness will drop after 3 straight days of being 95 or above. The others will drop after 4 straight days of 95 and above.
The other meters don't always get to 95+ on the same day and will be dropping on different days. I used to use a lot of 2f S's for these now I've started giving days off but beware some things like 1 3/8 S doesn't work as well as it used to, when you were training every day.

I either use Thunders advice in Mastering The Meters (3 day training) or a two day training depending upon the horse. I almost always give one or two days off unless they had a day or two off before the last race or work because of waiting for a race or a fast track to work.

Sometime I think it depends on the horse. What works for one does not necessarily work for the next.

Having said that, my successes are far and few between. It seems that I get a horse's meters up but their only good enough for 2k & 5k claimers. I'm waiting on that horse that's good enough to consistently run with the top horses.

Right now I'm just paying to take the correspondence course!

Thank you all for your advice stine I think I am like you i just pay to take the train and lessons as i go. but i figured that some other peoples advice might help a little too. I also agree with the horse and the jockey on the horse but i just don't have that much time and money to invest in a horse. Thanks anyways guys
