I sent this as a private message to Thunder but wanted to get everyone elses input as well. So if it looks familiar Thunder, it's not Deja Vu or maybe it is.

Watching some of these races today, I'm seeing that some horses are running close to their normal times again and some are way slower.

Race 8 today is a good example

KristheQueen blasted the field and ran close to her best time. (Congrats by the way)

Day By Day (my horse) ran about 1 second slower than her normal time on a fast track.

On Nov. 30 with all meters at 100 except strength was 99, she ran 1:37:22 with McKay on Push. (track conditions were good but I don't think track conditions had been implemented yet so I'm assuming that it was a firm track)

Today with all meters at 100 and Oneto on Push she ran 1:38:22 on a firm track (full one second slower)

Surely with virtually everything else the same the jock wouldn't made that much of a difference.

You think there's still something to be fixed? I know Carl is trying to work out all the glitches. But how can one horse run so well and the other be way off?

Watching it again, I wonder if it's because Day by Day started on the rail and seemed to stay there and got caught up behind the slower horses. When KTQ took off she was the only one on the screen but it looks like Day by Day waited until the other horse drew off the rail and then passed them on the inside.

The other horses ran a second or more slower than previous starts also. This is only one race but it's the one that affected me.

    Anybody else have any theories?

    Signed,

    Confused

    Jeff

    Jeff,

I would say that KTQ outclassed that field today as indicated by the result.

The other 4 horses probably got tired of chasing and did not race up their full potential.

Put your horse back in a claimer and it will run quicker time, as the tempo of the race will be easier, and there will be no KTQ running the last 400 in 22!!

KTQ obviously did outclass the field. I didn't scratch Day by Day because of the result of the last race with KTQ, hoping that Thunder hadn't figured out what was happening with KTQ. Obviously, he did.

Perhaps you're right that the rest of the horses got tired chasing.

Now that KTQ is back in form, she won't be slumming in the starters....lol

The key is, that everything is not the same. With the old system push meant go as fast as you can at the beginning. Now it meams get the lead. With the new system a horse has the ability to burn out more easily. Looks to me like you burned her out.

I replied to Jeff's PM giving him suggestions on how to improve on DbD's last run.

KtQ won't be running in any more Starter Allowances. Her next start will be the SSS Route Final. I was lucky she was eligible for this class to test new set-ups with her cheaply. I think I have got her back to her former glory.
